Carter Camp

Tonight we took Carter to his first overnight camp. He went with two of his friends from school/Scouts. It is only for 3 nights, so I figured it would be a good transition to prepare him for a week long camp maybe next Summer. He was very excited to go. The hardest part will be not being able to talk to him on the phone. Landon was very upset that his brother stayed at camp.

This picture is of Carter giving his brother a bottle before he left. So sweet.

What is Boo up to?

Here are some of the adorable things Bennett is up to these days...
1. Waves Hi and Bye
2. Says "Da Da" and "Bubba"
3. Crawls FAST
4. Pulls himself up on everything
5. Puts EVERYTHING in his mouth
6. Eats about 30 oz of formula a day
7. Eats 2 fruits and 2 veggies a day
8. Loves Gerber puffs and his new favorites are Mum Mums. He even tries to say Mum Mum but it comes out with a B instead.
9. Takes 2 naps a day, both being about 1 1/2-2 hours long.
10. Sleeps from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
11. My FAVORITE part of the day is when I give him his last bottle and he will lay his head on my shoulders. Then he will raise his head and look at me and give me the cheesiest, sleepiest grin ever. Then he passes out! I look forward to this moment all day.
12. LOVES to clap. If he hears someone 2 rooms over say "Yay", Bennett always starts clapping.
13. Recently perfected the art of drinking from a sippy cup. It just took me finding the right ones.
14. ABSOLUTELY, 100% ADORES his brothers.

Secrets and Mum Mums

Sometimes my boys can fight so much that it drives me absolutely bonkers and other times they can be the best of friends and it warms my heart. Currently they have locked themselves in the closet to share their secrets inside a diary (with a lock and key) that Gran had given Carter.
So...Bennett and I are just hanging out eating Mum Mums. This is his first experience with one and he isn't quite sure what to do. I, on the other hand, am enjoying the silence that I will have for about oh 5 minutes...and that's if I'm lucky.

Chicken Pox

"Chicken Pox"...a word you do not hear that often. So imagine my surprise when I took Bennett to the Dr. thinking he had an ear infection and walked out with diagnosis of chicken pox. Bennett had a low grade fever on Sunday and he was really fussy. I had noticed a small rash (nothing like the picture) so just assumed he had a virus and it needed to run its course. Well Sunday night he woke up every hour, something he had never done. Then on Monday he was so needy that I decided it would be best that I took him in to make sure he didn't have an ear infection. By the time we got to the Dr., his bumps had doubled in amount and in size. Thankfully it seems that he has a mild case. The Dr. said that it looks like someone who has gotten the chicken pox vaccination or who previously had chicken pox. He has not had the vaccination yet because you do not get that until one. THANKFULLY his face is clear...just one tiny one on his chin. Today he seemed much happier and hopefully no more spots will appear. Here is a picture of his back. He has a lot in the diaper area (I figured I would spare him that picture) and several on his fingers and toes and then just a few more in random places.

Bennett 9 Months

Bennett had his 9 months appointment last week and he officially is the biggest Paddack boy of all! He measured 32 inches! That is 3 inches taller than Carter at 9 months and I can't find Landon's stats, but I assure you he wasn't close (it took Landon about 2 years to catch up in height). Carter was 32 inches at one. Bennett weighed 21 pounds and 8 oz, which was 4 pounds less than Carter at 9 months. Carter was a chunk! I don't like it though. I really want to freeze Bennett into being little. I'm so sad that he has outgrown the newborn section. He now wears 18 months clothes. Slow down Boo.

Backyard Baseball

The boys decided to set up a backyard baseball game the other night. They are both going to play baseball this fall and are very excited. All the chairs and everything is suppose to be "the stadium".

This is the "dugout".

Happy Fourth of July
